My recommendation would be 2 p.m.. It’s described as a newsletter focused on the intersection of media and commerce, but it’s so much more. Web Smith’s essays and selection of articles cover a wide range of topics and often look to the past for models that suggest what our future may hold.
i would suggest Popular information by Judd Legum. He does in-depth reporting, especially when it comes to finding out which companies are investing money in organizations with values ââthey publicly reject. Most newsletter writers follow the media. The media follow Judd.
My answer just has to be Heated. I don’t think any other newsletter is as successful in delivering on all the media’s promises as Emily Atkin’s climate change newsletter. Lots of newsletters are informative, many are funny, many tell original stories, and many are constantly relevant and momentous – I Important, but I really mean it when I say nobody nails all of these things like Heated Is it that. It has definitely changed the way I think about climate change and the response to it and it genuinely covers stories that no one else covers; you really get what you pay for with Heatedbecause Emily’s surgery is somehow more in-depth and sophisticated than the climate coverage of many full-fledged publications. For the person interested in science and negotiations, how sausage is made, and the essentials of economics, this is a great gift.
Parker Molloy made his contribution to Media Matters and has now translated his archival knowledge of political hypocrisy into his newsletter, The present age. Whenever a Republican shill or goofy media talker is all the rage on Twitter, Parker is reliably there with, as they say, the receipts. A great resource to remind you exactly why you despise these overpaid political hacks.
My choice is Cherie Hu’s Water & Music newsletter! She does a fantastic job covering music technology. She is at the forefront of Web3, both in her coverage and in the way she develops her business.
that of Ben Thompson Strategy is definitely my favorite paid newsletter. Amazing information and analysis on the past, present and future of tech delivered to my inbox multiple times a week. Systematically arms myself with the information I need to feel unsafe as a technology investor and sow the seeds that spark active debate among my various groups of friends and communities.
i am obsessed with Bookbear Express by Ava. His writing hits all the right chords, every time. I don’t know how to describe it other than it’s a short newsletter full of nice thoughts on what it means to be human. Here’s a recent thought that stuck with me: âIf someone is way better than you at something, they probably put in a lot more effort. You probably underestimate how much harder they try.

My favorite is Lenny’s newsletter. Lenny relies on his community to provide unique information and manuals for founders in all areas of business building, including products, growth, and team building, among other incredibly insightful topics. Some of the best content on the internet can be found in its NL, it’s a must-have subscription for all business starters.
My recommendation is New World Rave. Michelle Lhooq, the author, takes a hands-on, first-person approach to writing about underground nightlife – dance, drugs, and the characters in it. I like the enthusiasm and openness with which she approaches her subjects. Through her eyes and the discord she organized for paying subscribers, I discovered new dimensions of the underground as well as the cultural forces that shape the way we let go. Michelle uses a light style of writing, but don’t let this fool you into forgetting how fearless she approaches her subjects.

I think it’s the most fun of American sports (soccer is still my number one love). that of Tom Ziller hello it’s basketball is a must read for me as it talks about everything in the game, from the culture and the in-depth analysis to the fun and weird things happening in the league. It has a unique voice removed from the cookie-cutter reports you read on most major sites.
