Production Manager (maternity cover) – London


Faber and Faber is a leading freelance literary publisher based in central London. We have a rich literary history dating back to the 1920s. Our list of authors includes Sally Rooney, Marina Hyde, Gary Younge, Max Porter, Akwaeke Emezi, Kazuo Ishiguro, Leïla Slimani, Tsitsi Dangarembga, Sebastian Barry, Rachel Cusk, and a backlist including the works of TS Eliot, Seamus Heaney, Sylvia Plath, William Golding and PD James among many others. We also run the Faber Academy, a renowned creative writing school, and provide publishing services to other publishers through the Independent Alliance and Faber Factory.

Faber Production Department is looking for an experienced and flexible Production Manager to cover a period of maternity leave. The incumbent will need solid book production experience in both color and monochrome listings, strong knowledge of Biblio3 with excellent communication skills and the knowledge to adapt quickly to the new role .

The position would require you to fill in the role of production manager in a range of scenarios and would suit someone who can prioritize their workload, generous with their knowledge, a team player, passionate about detail and who cares about the success of the company and the well-being of his colleagues.

The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 2 days at Faber’s London offices.
