The volume of industrial production in Hungary increased in September 2022 by 11.3%, year-on-year, according to data from the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
Based on data corrected for working days, production increased by 11.6%.
The vast majority of manufacturing subsections contributed to the output growth, the statistics agency noted.
The volume of production also increased in the largest weighting representing the sub-sections year-on-year: the manufacture of transport equipment, as well as the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products increased significantly , while the manufacturing of food, beverage and tobacco products increased slightly.
In the first nine months of the year, production was 6.7% higher than in the same period of 2021.
Industrial production in September – according to the seasonally and working day-adjusted indices – was 1.6% higher than the previous month’s level.
