Hungary signs MoU on local production of Sinopharm vaccines

Hungary has signed a memorandum of understanding on the local production of a COVID vaccine developed by Chinese company Sinopharm, Secretary of State Tamás Menczer said in a post on Facebook on Friday.

Under the MoU, signed with Sinopharm-CNBG Vice President Jiang Xiuchang and CEO of Sinopharm-CNBG United Arab Emirates Joint Venture Peng Xiao, the capacity and infrastructure to produce the vaccine will be put in place. place in Hungary in 10 months at the latest, said Menczer.

He noted that partners in China and the United Arab Emirates are constantly examining new mutations in the coronavirus and working to develop the most effective vaccines. This cooperation could give Hungary the possibility of obtaining new information on new changes and adjusting local production accordingly, quickly and efficiently, he added.
