Fnatic was eliminated from TI 11 in the lower bracket of the main event on October 20. A day later, the organization’s CGO Patrik ‘cArn’ Sättermon revealed that their opponents Gaimin Gladiators were able to hear the broadcast during the game.

The International 11 is underway as teams battle for the top spot in Dota 2’s biggest tournament. Fnatic was one of those teams after dropping out of the group stage and earning a lower seed. But on October 20, Fnatic were knocked out of TI 11 in a best-of-one match against European side Gaimin Gladiators.

A day later, Fnatic’s CGO, cArn, revealed on Twitter that the Gaimin players were able to hear the production broadcast during the match and used it to their advantage to win the match.

According to cArn, Gaimin’s players admitted to using the information they heard from the production in their decision making to ultimately win the match.

cArn went on to follow up in a post saying he just wanted to raise awareness about the incident.

“As a former player, I am very frustrated that such integrity issues still go unaddressed, especially on the absolute biggest stage in the sport. Our intention is only to raise awareness for something that can be so groundbreaking than a dream destroyer for athletes,” said the CGO of Fnatic.

The incident became known after the match ended. Gaimin player Anton ‘dyrachyo’ Shkredov gave an interview to a local Russian caster in which he said his team could hear everything the casters were saying and fought based on the information they had gleaned from the actors.

No punishment or change in the broadcast or a rematch has been announced at the time of publication. Gaimin is set to face OG on October 21 in a lower bracket match as the tournament continues.
