Figment has been an iconic EPCOT character at Walt Disney World Resort since the Disney Park opened. The beloved character gets his own spin on Journey Into Imagination With Figment at EPCOT, and earlier this year, a Figment popcorn bucket absolutely took the Disney world by storm.
Figment, of course, serves as EPCOT’s mascot, residing in the Imagination pavilion in the park. But we just learned that the character will be headlining his own feature film!

The film comes from Seth Rogen’s Point Gray production company, with Pokémon Detective PikachuDan Hernandez and Benji Samit are about to write.
Rogen and his producing partners Evan Goldberg and James Weaver have released various television and film projects under their Point Gray banner, including Hulu’s Pam and Tommy, from Amazon The boys and The Boys Presents: Devilishas good as It is the end (2013), The interview (2014), The Disaster Artist (2017), and An American pickle (2020).
We’ve been looking forward to a movie based on the iconic character for a while now, and we still can’t believe this is actually happening!
As we mentioned, Figment has its own attraction at EPCOT. Walt Disney World’s description of Journey Into Imagination with Figment at EPCOT reads:
The Institute’s embattled president, Dr. Nigel Channing (played by Eric Idle) tries to prove how the 5 senses capture the imagination, but he’s overshadowed by the mischievous Figment! Prepare for plenty of surprises as you navigate a series of vivid and whimsical sensory labs. Learn more about the 5 senses as Figment turns the lab upside down and causes one hell of a stink in the Smell Lab. Let your imagination run wild in this wonderful, crazy musical adventure!
Stay tuned for updates!
