ATHENS — Greek authors and publishers in the country will be recognized at the BolognaBookPlus 2023 exhibition where industry and writers will be showcased, the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports has said.
The event will take place from March 6-9 after being kicked off in 2020 by BCBF/BolognaFiere in collaboration with the Association of Italian Publishers (AIE) to reach a general publishing audience, The BookSeller also reported.
Greek Deputy Minister of Culture, Nicholas Yatromanolakis, said: “Presenting the vibrant Greek literary market as the first BolognaBookPlus Market of Honor in 2023 is a great opportunity to share with publishing professionals and the world the richness of Greek letters and the multitude of contemporary Greek literary works. voice, as well as a wider cultural program that will showcase both Greece’s rich cultural heritage and current scene.
“Having recently launched GreekLit, a translation fellowship program, we believe the timing is perfect. We look forward to working closely with BBPlus Guest Director Jacks Thomas and BCBF Director Elena Pasoli to provide an excellent cultural, business and networking experience.
