Essex writers invited to Essex Authors’ Day at Chelmsford Library on Saturday

Essex writers of all experience levels are invited to learn crucial tips of the trade from three established writers this weekend.

Essex Authors Day will take place on Saturday 25 September, at the Meetings Hub at Chelmsford Library.

The program will include three exciting seminars, led by experienced authors Jonathan Crane, Simon Edge and Lizzie Chantree.

Cllr Louise McKinlay, Deputy Chief of Essex County Council and Cabinet Member for Communities, said: “Libraries are valued by us and our residents for many reasons and we fully understand and recognize their importance.

“I sincerely hope that we put libraries at the heart of our communities and events such as Essex Authors’ Day are another step towards achieving this goal. “

Each seminar covers a different topic, supporting local writers with advice and information.

The seminars cover the art of writing, submissions and the editing process, and how to market your book.

Tickets cost £ 5 per person, per session and must be reserved in advance. To book tickets visit the Essex Libraries website and follow the links to Essex Authors Day 2021 or visit
