Biden’s ‘open border’ policy threatens economic and national security: Border Patrol Chief

In front President Trumps Visiting the US-Mexico border on Tuesday, the chief of border police warned of the expense of the president-elect Joe Bidens proposed reversal of immigration policy.

Acting Customs Border Protection Commissioner Mark Morgan told FOX Business: “Morning with Maria“If Biden stops building the border wall, “it will be part of a dangerous policy that is in place and our country will be less secure as a result.”

“If you take away the ideological, hyperbolic false narrative that’s out there, that infrastructure works,” he explained, “along with technology and staff, and every single success is made better by it, and our borders are safer and our country is safer.”

The Center for Immigration reports that deporting illegal immigrants costs $10,000 per person, compared to the average lifetime tax outflow of $65,000.

“Not only are we safeguarding the national security of this nation,” Morgan said, “but also economic security. It’s both.

Beyond the border wall, Morgan said effective policies and authorities must be in place.

“President-elect Biden has said he will abolish everything that was done under this administration to address the crisis,” Morgan said.

CBP chief warns Biden has spoken about re-catching and releasing, ending deportations for nearly four months, granting and giving amnesty to millions of people health care to illegal immigrants.

“It’s not an immigration strategy,” Morgan said. “It’s an open borders strategy and the cartels and people smugglers are already taking advantage of that and the numbers are already rising because immigrants are being told the borders will be open again on January 20.”

Morgan thinks it has nothing to do with that Politics.

“This is the only time I’m glad a president has already broken promises,” he said of Biden. “He said … if he did what he promised during the campaign on day one, two million people would rush to the border. I agree with him. We would see a crisis that would pale in comparison to what we saw in 2019.”

Morgan announced his visit to Trump and said the president will announce his “tremendous achievements” at the border.
