Belarusian publishers will be presented at the Moscow Book Fair


MINSK, Sept. 2 (BelTA) — The 35th edition of the Moscow International Book Fair, the largest and oldest book forum in Russia and Eastern Europe since 1977, will take place at Gostiny Dvor in the capital Russian from September 2 to 5. The event will bring together the publishing houses of the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus, BelTA learned from the Belarusian ministry.

“In 2022, the Moscow Book Fair, the main book event of the year, will be held at the Gostiny Dvor exhibition complex,” the information ministry said. “Publishers big and small will showcase their top 2022 book premieres as well as popular publications of fiction, educational, science and children’s literature. The book fair will offer discussions, conferences, seminars, round tables, autograph sessions and meetings with writers.

Belarusian book publishers will actively participate in the forum. Publishing houses Narodnaya Asveta, Vysheisha Shkola, Belarusian Science, Belarus, Mastatskaya Litaratura, Zvyazda as well as Belarusian bookseller Belkniga will present their best editions dedicated to the Year of Historical Memory, the anniversaries of Belarusian classic writers Yakub Kolas and Yanka Kupala, as well as publications telling about the tourist potential of Belarus, the beauties of the Belarusian land and the Belarusian Written Language Day, which this year will be organized by Dobrush, Gomel Oblast on September 3-4.
